The Motocross and Supercross teams will once again compete on the all new fuel injected Honda CRF450R and internationally acclaimed CRF250R. Team owner Yarrive Konsky said, “I have changed my way of thinking for 2009 and have hired a team of eager young champions.” “One valuable lesson I have learnt in business is team work, and progressing through team development ensures that everyone works harder to achieve common goals.” “Together the riders, technicians, sponsors and engineers are working closely to achieve our team objectives”. The motocross team will consist of three pro open riders, one pro lite and one women's rider. Ford Dale who won the final round of the Australian Motocross Nationals will compete on the all new CRF450R. Todd Waters will join him in the premier class whilst current E1 Australian 4 Day Enduro champion Peter Boyle will compete in the rounds that don't coincide with his off road commitments. Rebecca Lipsett will also represent the team in the women's nationals. Dean Ferris is looking forward to his second full season in the pro lite class. In the previous year, Dean finished 4th overall in the Australian Motocross Nationals. “It was a steep learning curve for me and the team last year. We had to figure each other out. I am in America at the moment testing and training. Factory Connection through Yarrive has helped me with a bike,” Ferris said. “Weather permitting, I am riding and racing as often as I can. I am really going all out to chase the title this year and believe there is no reason why we can't win it.” The team will change slightly for supercross. Todd Waters will join Ferris in the lites class and an international rider will join Ford Dale in the pro open class. The team has already commenced testing and is set for a hectic month of R&D in late January and early February. Team Manager Brad MacAlpine added, “We are better prepared this year. Last year everything happened so fast; there was a lot to set up and organise in a short time and Honda was patient as we took over their factory team.” “This year we are eager to get results and our preparation is far more advanced. We were able to learn a lot about the new CRF450R during last year's Super X series. Jeremy and his mechanic Lars were able to provide valuable information that has aided in our development of the bike. The 2009 CRF250R is also an improvement over the 2008 model which was already a market leader.” ![]() |
